Six members of terrorist Islamic Renaissance Party detained in Moscow
MOSCOW, November 12 - RAPSI. Six members of the Islamic Renaissance Party, declared to be terrorist by the court, have been detained in Moscow for recruiting supporters in Moscow mosques, the Interior Ministry reported on Monday.
The police officers found that the detained individuals were recruiting volunteers in Moscow mosques and were also distributing extremist literature. Their homes were searched and nine grenades, various weapons, ammunition, extremist literature and manuals for recruiting and promoting radical Islamic ideas were discovered.
The search operations are still in progress.
