MOSCOW, June 26 - RAPSI. The Investigative Committee ready to verify information over prominent opposition activist Alexei Navalny's alleged email hacking.

Navalny wrote in his LiveJournal blog that his email and Twitter micro-blog had been hacked “evidently through the computers/tablets seized during the recent search.” He made this statement 20 minutes after some abusive language appeared in his micro-blog. Later the Investigative Committee called these statements false, although Navlny continued to allege that his email and blog were hacked via his computer.

“Media reports on Navalny’s intent to file a complaint will not be brushed aside. If Navalny files, an investigation will definitely be initiated,” said the committee source.

The source has also denied the allegations of coercion against suspects detained after the riots at Bolotnaya Square in central Moscow on May 6.

Navalny and other opposition leaders are witnesses in the case.

Clashes with the police flared up during a procession across Moscow, which had been approved by the authorities. Dozens of people on both sides were injured. The police detained over 400 protesters.
