MOSCOW, October 27 - RAPSI. The Investigative Committee has found that the remains of the royal Romanov Family, murdered in Yekaterinburg in 1918 and later buried in the Peter and Paul Fortress in St.Petersburg are genuine, investigator Vladimir Solovyov told journalists on Thursday.

Investigators have also confirmed that the remains of two bodies found in 2007 were those of heir to the throne Alexei and his sister Maria.

"Finally the Investigative Committee has concluded that the remains of the Romanov Family are genuine following the comprehensive analysis of legal papers, genetic, historical and other evidence," Solovyov said.

Solovyov submitted on Thursday a resolution on the completion of investigation into the royal family's murder to lawyer German Lukyanov, who represents the House of Romanov. The 800-page document contains major conclusions made by the investigation and states the remains' identity.

Solovyov said he was hopeful the committee's resolution will facilitate the burial of the heir to the throne Alexei and his sister Maria.
