MOSCOW, September 6 - RAPSI. The Chamber for Patent Disputes has dismissed an application filed by businessman Alexander Petelin to register the "Put-in-pot" trademark, patent agency reported.

According to Rospatent, the word element "Put-in" contained in the trademark is confusingly similar with the name of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, who did not grant permission for the trademark registration.

Nonetheless, the businessman appealed the resolution.

Petelin maintains that "Put in pot" is a poker term unassociated with Prime Minister Putin.

The businessman appealed to Rospatent to register the trademark for chemical products, pharmaceuticals and veterinary products, as well as for agricultural and forestry goods.
