MOSCOW, September 1 - RAPSI. Prosecutors have instituted administrative proceedings against the owners of two online shops that allowed client data leaks on the Internet, the Moscow Prosecutors Office reported on Thursday.

In July, media reported that top search engines Yandex, Google and Mail.Ru provided unlimited access to the personal data of the shops clients.

The Basmannaya and Savyolovskaya inter-district prosecutors offices opened administrative cases against the owners of the two online stores for breaking statutory regulations on personal data collection, storage, use and dissemination.

Specifically, the Basmannaya Inter-District Prosecutors Office has completed its investigation against the owner of one of the stores, who acted as its general director.

The case has been referred to court.
