MOSCOW, August 23 - RAPSI, Dmitry Shchitov. The Supreme Commercial Court has registered an appeal filed by the liquidator of Aviakompaniya, the management company set up for Rosavia, against the denial of its bankruptcy petition, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI).

Aviakompaniya is a management company that was set up by Russian Technologies (Rostekhnologii) in 2008 to manage Rosavia Airlines, an airline the government was then considering establishing. However, the government gave up the plan to establish Rosavia.

The Moscow Federal District Commercial Court upheld a lower court decision against Aviakompaniyas petition for its own bankruptcy under an expedited procedure for liquidated debtors.

In December 2010, Aviakompaniyas representative said the company had two major creditors. The company owed 31 million rubles ($1.1 million) to one creditor. However, the representative did not specify the amount of the companys debt to the second creditor. According to the representative, the companys accounts receivable amounted to 1.5 million rubles ($54,000).
