MOSCOW, March 18 (RAPSI) – Members of the State Assembly of Russia’s Republic of Bashkortostan have submitted a bill on the transport vehicle confiscation for repeated driving under the influence of alcohol to the lower house of parliament, according to the official State Duma database.

The initiative stipulates obligatory seizure of cars or other motorized vehicles beneficially belonging to a convict or other legal owner for committing traffic violations with the use of these vehicles, an explanatory note to the document reads.

Amendments are proposed to the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
