MOSCOW, July 9 (RAPSI) – A draft law on prompt restriction of access to extremist and terrorist information containing has been introduced into the lower house of Russian parliament, according to a statement of the State Duma.

Amendments are proposed to the Law On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection.

The bill envisages blocking of information containing justification of extremism or terrorism upon a decision of the Prosecutor General of Russia or his deputies, an explanatory note to the document reads.

According to one of the sponsors of the initiative Vasily Piskarev, publications presenting such destructive activities as right and deserving of help and repetition pose a threat to children’s life and health. The legislative proposal is aimed at improvement of the information space safety and prevention of the minors’ radicalization, the MP states.
