MOSCOW, July 23 (RAPSI) – The Justice Ministry of Russia is developing a bill to improve detention conditions for disabled persons of groups I and II, the information published on the ministry’s website reads.

The bill would envisage better housing conditions in detention centers and enhanced nutritional standards for such people. Moreover, the initiative proposes not to apply incarceration to them as a disciplinary measure.

Amendments are expected to be introduced into the law on detention of persons suspected and accused of committing crimes.
