MOSCOW, June 28 (RAPSI) – Russian government has approved the animal housing ban list.

The government decree has been ratified as a by-law to federal legislation on responsible treatment of animals.

Thus, the order bans housing and using large predatory types and poisonous animals posing risk to their owners, and animals whose comfort habitat differs markedly from possible conditions in captivity that may result in their health or even life.

If a banned animal was bought before January 1, 2020, it may be held by an owner until the animal's natural death coming.

The prohibition does not extend to animal management in zoological gardens, circuses, dolphinariums or oceanariums.
