MOSCOW, April 9 (RAPSI) – The State Duma adopted in a final third reading on Tuesday a bill on fines for untimely entry or import of false information into the medicinal drugs monitoring system.

Under the bill, officials would face fines from 5,000 to 10,000 rubles ($80 - $160), companies would be punished with fines ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 rubles ($800 - $1,600) for such offenses.

Cases over untimely entry or import of false data into the medicine monitoring system would be considered by the Federal Service for the Supervision of Public Health and Social Development (Roszdravnadzor).

Officials of the health supervision watchdog would by authorized to draw up protocols on such offenses as selling medication without marking or other information required by law, keeping, transportation or purchasing such products for further sale.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade officials would be authorized to execute protocols on offenses including medicinal drug manufacturing without marking or other information required by law.

Amendments are expected to take effect on January 1, 2020.
