MOSCOW, September 4 (RAPSI) – A government commission has approved a bill prohibiting auditors from checking companies headed by their relatives.

The bill is aimed to amend the Federal Law on Auditing.

The draft law also envisages ban on creation of competitive situations, when auditors’ interests may influence the results of inspections, and actions that may lead to the conflicts of interests.

According to the government commission member and chairman of the Association of Russian Lawyers Vladimir Gruzdev, stepping up the requirements for auditors will improve the business environment and inspection efficiency.
