MOSCOW, March 12 (RAPSI) – A bill granting regional wildlife inspectors a power to review cases on administrative violations has reached the State Duma, the database of the lower house of parliament reads.

Authors of the bill, members of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, have noted that currently when a wildlife inspector reveals violations of environmental protection legislation, he has to draw up a note and transfer it to an authorized official. Over 60% of violators don’t come for review of cases against themselves and as a result the process of fining gets prolonged.

Analysis of administrative cases showed that if the inspectors had an option to issue provisions on the spot their work could be more efficient and fast, the bill’s authors note.
