MOSCOW, February 15 (RAPSI) – A bill introducing changes to the procedure of meetings between detained suspects or defendants in criminal cases and their children has been filed with the State Duma, the document published on the website of the lower house of parliament reads.

According to authors of the bill, currently such meetings require authorization from an investigator. A new procedure would allow detainees to have a right to two meetings a month with their children that are under age of 14 or are disabled.

The bill provides that the meetings are provided only with the authorization of a prosecutor.
