MOSCOW, December 20 (RAPSI) – A bill prohibiting production and turnover of powdered alcohol, a substance used to produce alcohol drinks when reconstituted with water, has been submitted to the State Duma, the official website of the lower house of parliament reads on Wednesday.

According to an explanatory note to the bill, there have been no tests on influence caused on human health by powdered alcohol, and its safety is unconfirmed. It has been proven, however, that consuming drinks containing higher amount of powdered alcohol in proportion to water may result in death.

The bill was proposed by the Moscow Regional parliament.
