MOSCOW, February 4 (RAPSI) – Russian lawmakers from the Communist Party, Valery Rashkin and Sergei Obukhov, have submitted a bill to the State Duma that would lift statute of limitation for such offences as treason and espionage, RIA Novosti reported Thursday.

Currently, these treason and espionage are considered to be especially dangerous crimes.  Individuals committed such crimes receive discharge from criminal liability after 15 years passed from the date of a crime.

According to the lawmakers, the bill is aimed at confirmation of principle of unavoidability of punishment.
