MOSCOW, November 5 (RAPSI) – Russia's Economy Ministry mulls easing curbs to allow officials of federal agencies to participate in managing subsidiaries of state corporations, RIA Novosti reported on Thursday.

“Taking into account the current economic situation this measure would be temporal and would be active until December 31, 2018”, the agency quotes an explanatory note accompanying the bill.

State officials were banned from any business activities in 2005. In the beginning of 2015, the rules were further tightened to forbid officials to participate in managing businesses.
