MOSCOW, July 24 - RAPSI. The Interior Ministry has published a draft order obliging police officers to apologize to people whose rights have been violated. The apologies should be made no later than a month after the incident took place.

In accordance with the proposed procedure, Interior Ministry officers should bring their apologies to the place of the injured party's residence, work or education, as the party requires.

The draft law stipulates that the apologies should be made by the violator or his or her superior.

Police officers will have to admit to being guilty of an unlawful act or an omission if these have been established as fact or if the court rules they should do so.
