MOSCOW, February 2 - RAPSI. Mikhail Mishustin, the head of the Federal Tax Service, has called for adopting a special law regulating tax consultants' activity.

"The tax consultant system has formed in Russia, but there is no special legislation," he said while speaking on Thursday at an international tax congress.

Mishustin said he discussed the issue with the Finance Ministry and concluded that it is necessary to adopt such a law.

He said similar laws operate in other countries.

The Federal Tax Service's proposals may finally be formulated and submitted to the Finance Ministry next year.

He underscored that the law will not make taxpayers refer to professional tax consultants. They will be able to decide on their own whether or not to involve them, Mishustin said.
