MOSCOW, March 17 (RAPSI) – A terrorist attack planned at large gatherings of citizens has been averted in Russia’s Republic of Adygea, RAPSI has learnt from the Public Relations Centre of the  Federal Security Service (FSB).

A wannabe terrorist, according to the statement, is a man born in the Central Asia region. A flag of the Islamic State terrorist organization banned in Russia, elements for manufacturing an improvised bomb with destructive agents, the map of Maikop, a town in the Republic of Adygea, with the objects of terrorist intentions, communications tools with terrorist content and forged migration documents have been found at the place of his residence.

A case has been opened over preparation for a terrorist attack, according to FSB.
