MOSCOW, January 25 (RAPSI) – Russia’s Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov has ordered prosecutors to inspect how contracts made with respect to organization of catering in schools and kindergartens are executed, the Prosecutor General’s Office press-service informs RAPSI on Monday.

The inspections to be conducted by regional prosecutors were initiated in relation to a growing number of massive infectious diseases outbreaks among schoolchildren and preschoolers, according to the statement.

The prosecutors are to check how respective contracts made with commercial organizations comply with the legislation, how the required quality of the services provided is ensured, and if all necessary documents are available, as well as how the quality of foods supplied is controlled.

Inspections are also to find out how the provision obliging educational establishments to cater hot meals to their pupils since September 1, 2020, is complied with.
