MOSCOW, June 2 (RAPSI) – The Kuntsevsky District Court in Moscow is to hear a criminal case against a local woman who disseminated false information that bodies of those passed away because of the pandemic have been secretly transported from a district observation facility, according to the press service of Russia’s Prosecutor General’s Office.

The prosecution approved the document charging the defendant with public distribution of knowingly false information about circumstances presenting danger to lives and safety of citizens, the statement reads.

Investigators believe that seeking to increase the number of visitors of her website the defendant published there knowingly false information that dead bodies of COVID-19 victims were secretly transported in night time from a district observation facility; the information was defined as false by a competent authority.
