MOSCOW, April 13 (RAPSI) – Moscow courts on Monday fined eight people for violating the coronavirus lockdown, the Moscow City Court’s spokesperson Ulyana Solopova told RAPSI.

The violators were ordered to pay 15,000 rubles ($200) each.

According to the source, all citizes were outside their places of residence more than 100 meters, as prescribed by the self-isolation order, without solid reasons and ignored the police explanations about the compliance with the regime.

The self-isolation regime was introduced in Moscow and Moscow Region in late March. Residents are banned from leaving their places of living without a special need. They are allowed to leave homes for urgent medical aid, grocery shopping in the nearest stores, visiting pharmacies. Similar measures have been introduced in several other regions of Russia.
