MOSCOW, January 24 (RAPSI) – Law enforcement officers arrested two entrepreneurs, Alexander Plyushchenko and Alexander Kutukov, in Moscow as a part of a probe in a 91 million-ruble (about $1.5 million) embezzlement case, lawyer Stalina Gurevich told RAPSI on Friday.

According to the lawyer, who is representing Plyushchenko, no charges have been brought as yet against the men, they are only suspects.

Her client, the lawyer says, has no connections whatsoever to the criminal world, and in her view there is no evidence proving Plyushchenko’s involvement in the crime as he has broken his connections with the banks mentioned in the criminal case. Moreover, Gurevich notes, her client has asked law enforcement agencies to investigate if Kutukov’s actions were lawful.
