Over $130 mln collected from Otkritie Holding in favor of Trust bank
MOSCOW, January 22 (RAPSI) – The Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area Commercial Court has granted a claim lodged by the National Bank Trust and recovered 8.28 billion rubles (over $130 million) against Otkritie Holding, according to court records.
The court has enforced loans under the contracts dated December 13, 2012 and April 18, 2013.
In October, Trust reported its intent to seek for the bankruptcy of Otkritie Holding.
On August 29, 2017, the Central Bank of Russia imposed temporary administration in Otkritie Bank. However, it was reported that the bank would continue work in the ordinary course.
Otkritie Bank was founded in December 1992. It is one of Russia’s top major banks and is a systemically important institution. Otkritie Bank has 364 offices, located in 55 constituent entities of Russia, according to the financial organization’s website.
