MOSCOW, December 3 (RAPSI) – A court has fined officials of a Moscow asphalt plant nearly 500,000 rubles (about $8,000) for air pollution, the website of the Prosecutor General’s Office informs.

The check conducted at the enterprise revealed that the plant specialized in bitumen concrete mix preparation carried the fourfold level increase of emission into the atmosphere of carbon monoxide.

The persons involved have been found guilty of breaching environmental and sanitary-epidemiological law, the statement reads.

Moreover, the check showed violation of fire safety requirements, inappropriate accumulation of mercuric lamps and industrial and household waste.
