MOSCOW, October 2 (RAPSI) – Moscow’s Basmanny District Court will consider a motion filed by investigators seeking detention of an alleged murderer of the Investigative Committee’s employee Vladislav Kapustin, the court’s spokesperson Yunona Tsareva has told RAPSI.

Investigators have asked the court to detain Sergey Grigoryev accused of infringement on the life of a law enforcement employee until December 1.

On Tuesday, a criminal case was opened over an assault on colonel Kapustin with the use of a knife in the Investigative Committee’s building. According to the Investigative Committee’s statement, the victim was attacked during the reception of citizens. He was taken to a hospital but died there.

The alleged criminal was immediately arrested and questioned. According to the preliminary information, the suspect is registered at a psychoneurologic dispensary. During the arrest, he behaved inadequately. A mental examination is to be conducted, the Investigative Committee’s press service reported.
