Russian citizen gets 5 years in Estonian prison for spying - report
MOSCOW, September 11 (RAPSI) – A court in Estonia sentenced a Russian national, whose name was not disclosed, to 5 years in prison for espionage, Postimees newspaper reported Wednesday.
Additionally, the court seized 1,300 euros from the defendant.
According to the media outlet, the Russian citizen was arrested in May and charged with acting against independence and territorial integrity of the Estonian Republic.
A spokesperson of the country’s Security Police refused to provide any other details of the case saying that the investigation is ongoing.
