MOSCOW, March 26 (RAPSI) – The Moscow City Court on Tuesday upheld detention of a defendant in a case over the murder of the Interior Ministry Transport Department’s major case investigator, police lieutenant colonel Yevgeniya Shishkina, RAPSI reported from the courtroom.

The court dismissed the defendant’s appeal and ordered him to remain in detention until May 7.

The hearing was held behind closed doors as the defendant is minor.

There are two defendants in the case. One of them, an alleged aberttor to the crime is a 17-year-old resident of St. Petersburg. Alleged killer is Abdulaziz Abdulazizov, born 2000. They were arrested in St. Petersburg in early March and transported to Moscow, according to the Investigative Committee of Russia.

Shishkina was shot dead near her place of living in the Moscow Region on October 10, 2018.
