MOSCOW, December 11 (RAPSI) – Persons behind fraudulent theft of 10 million rubles (over $150,000) from banking accounts of Russian pensioners have been arrested, the press-service of the Interior Ministry has stated.

Law enforcement officers found that the suspects called mobile phones of old people living in South-Western District of Moscow and presented themselves as security officers of a credit organization. They falsely claimed that there were attempts to steal money from the banking cards and asked the victims to dictate numbers on their cards as well as those provided by double-factor authenticity system. Later, they stole their all money.

Alleged criminals are suspected of fraud and stay in detention.
