MOSCOW, October 24 (RAPSI) – Police have opened a criminal case against top managers of a bank in Krasnoyarsk Region over alleged embezzlement of 153 million rubles (over $2 million), the press service of the Interior Ministry’s regional directorate has told RAPSI.

The crime is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

According to investigators, executives of one of the regional banks using their position sold bills of another company and then withdrew the received money from accounts.

Thus, they embezzled 153 million rubles belonging to 120 residents of Krasnoyarsk Region, the police stated Wednesday.
