MOSCOW, September 21 (RAPSI) – Moscow’s Basmanny District Court granted a motion by investigators and issued an arrest warrant for two alleged members of Right Sector nationalist organization banned in Russia in absentia, the Investigative Committee’s spokesperson Svetlana Petrenko told RAPSI on Friday.

According to Petrenko, Russian citizens Ruslan Misiratov and his brother Marlen are charged with participation in extremist activities.

Investigators claim that from 2015 to 2017 the brothers were active members of Right Sector. They allegedly acted as unit commanders during warfare in the self-proclaimed Lugansk and Donetsk people’s republics.

Moreover, they stand charged with involvement in a food blockade to disrupt supplies of vital goods to Crimea and Sevastopol, according to Russia’s Investigative Committee.

The defendants have been put on the international wanted list.
