MOSCOW, December 7 (RAPSI, Yulia Glozman) – The Supreme Court of Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan has sentenced a 59-year old local resident to 13 years in prison for shooting at police officers, the Interior Ministry’s regional press service reports Thursday.

The man has been found guilty of ammunition trafficking and infringement on life of a law enforcement officer.

According to investigators, the man suspected of arson attack on vehicles started shooting when police officers were going to arrest him in his country house. Nobody was injured during the incident. The criminal has decamped. However, he was arrested soon.
