MOSCOW, November 17 (RAPSI) – The Moscow Commercial Court has granted a claim filed by the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) seeking to bring two ex-managers of the Russian Land Bank to subsidiary liability and recover 3.1 billion rubles (nearly $52 million) from them, statement of the Agency reads.

According to the DIA, this sum was recovered from Alexander Safronov and Timur Tchatchukh. Creditors demanded 5.5 billion rubles (about $92.1 million) from the bank.

The bank was found bankrupt on May 21, 2014 on request of the Central Bank. During the court hearings back then representative of the regulator said that the bank owed 10.9 billion rubles (about $182.5 million) while it only had 2.6 billion rubles (about $43.5 million).
