MOSCOW, September 21 (RAPSI) – The Ostankinsky District Court has sentenced two persons to 7 years in prison for embezzling 245 million rubles ($4.2 million) from one of Moscow’s banks, the statement by police reads on Thursday.

Earlier it was reported that one of defendants, a founder of an organization specializing in production of alcohol-free beverages, provided a bank with fraudulent documents to receive a credit. As a result, criminals signed three credit contracts with the bank and used the money for their personal purposes.

In May 2016, alleged embezzlers were arrested and detained. In March 2017, the investigation was complete.
