MOSCOW, January 25 (RAPSI, Diana Gutsul) – Senior manager of Kaspersky Lab, Ruslan Stoyanov, heading the corporation cybercrime investigations department, has been put in detention, Kommersant newspaper reported on Wednesday.

According to Kommersant, Stoyanov’s detention may be related to investigation into one of deputies of the Federal Security Service’s (FSB) head of Informational Security Center. A newspaper’s source said that Stoyanov has been staying in detention since December 2016. Allegedly head of one of the Center’s departments has also been detained at the time.

The FSB’s Internal Security directorate is carrying out investigation into treason, Kommersant reported citing top managers and co-owners of three IT companies. One of the sources told Kommersant that investigators verify information on the alleged financial transaction between one of foreign organizations and the Center’s employee mediated by employee of one of Russian information security companies.
