MOSCOW, December 9 (RAPSI) – Russia’s Intellectual Property Court (IP Court) has upheld a decision of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) that found M.video consumer electronics retailer guilty of violating the law on competition, court records show.

M.video during its ad campaign unlawfully used logos of White Wind Digital, a popular electric goods retail chain, and claimed White Wind Digital to be bankrupt, according to the FAS.

The watchdog says that clients were persuaded to switch to M.video in a way that violates competition law. Moreover, clients were offered to change their White Wind Digital cards to M.video cards with 1,000 rubles ($15) bonus.
