MOSCOW, November 15 (RAPSI) – Russia’s Intellectual Property Court (IP Court) on December 14 will review a lawsuit filed by Fast Retailing Co., Ltd., which owns Uniqlo clothing brand, against Russian airline UTair over preliminary termination of legal protection of “UT” trademark, court documents read on Tuesday.

The Federal Service for Intellectual Property was assigned as a third party in this legal dispute.

Fast Retailing Co., Ltd., which is based in Japan, asks the court to terminate legal protection of this trademark regarding all clothing products since it is not used.

Earlier the lawsuit of Japanese company has been put on a halt due to absence of several documents, including one that confirms payment of government’s toll.
