MOSCOW, August 5 (RAPSI) – Moscow police officers have stopped activity of an organized criminal group, which was trading drugs through Internet, RIA Novosti reported on Friday.

According to police, in February of this year, the criminal gang organized an “online store” selling methadone drug. Access to the store has been severely restricted. After customers made payment through virtual currency, they received information about the location of drug caches around Moscow. Caches were usually hidden in public places: entrances of apartment houses or the first floors’ windowsills.

Alleged organizer of the group and three gang members were arrested by the police. They were all detained for two months by the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow.
