MOSCOW, August 4 (RAPSI) – Estonian organizer of concerts of Eros Ramazzotti, Herman Stage Co SIA, has filed a lawsuit with the Moscow Commercial Court demanding to recover EUR 870,000 in damages from Global Communications, an organizer of the Italian singer’s failed performances in Russia, according to court records.

On March 30, the plaintiff released a statement of cancelling Ramazzotti’s show due to circumstances beyond the control of Estonia’s company. According to Herman Stage Co SIA, money paid for the tickets would be returned in two months.  The company asked in its claim to collect EUR 370,000 in damages and EUR 500,000 as a penalty from the  Russian firm.

Pretrial hearings have been scheduled for October 21.

In July, the Moscow Commercial Court returned Global Communications its lawsuit seeking to collect 121.3 million rubles ($1.8 million) from the Italian company Radiorama representing the singer’s interests.

The company filed the claim following Eros Ramazzotti tour’s cancellation in Russia. Particularly, concerts in Moscow were scheduled for April 2 and 3, 2016.

Maurizio Salvadori, President of Trident Music, Italian organizer of Eros Ramazzotti world tour, stated that the performances have been cancelled because Global Communications repeatedly violated contractual obligations. Trident Music made concessions to the Russian company and signed two agreements on payment adjourning. However, the contracted fee has not been paid to the singer, according to Salvadori.
