MOSCOW, August 11 (RAPSI) – The Moscow City Court has ruled in favor of Warner Bros. in a lawsuit against Russian torrent trackers that were sharing copies of "Entourage" film produced by the American company, The Hollywood Reporter has reported.

According to The Hollywood reporter, this is the first online piracy lawsuit filed in a Russian court by an American film company itself. In previous instances foreign companies' media products were protected by their Russian partners.

The Russian anti-piracy law took effect on August 1, 2013. It sets out the legal grounds and procedure for limiting access to websites that distribute movies and TV shows in violation of copyright. The law also sets out the rules for holding Internet and hosting providers liable. Possible legal responses include deleting content or blocking a violating source.
