MOSCOW, February 6 (RAPSI) – Moscow’s Lefortovsky Court extended on Friday the detention of Ukrainian national Yury Soloshenko who is suspected of spying for a foreign state, RIA Novosti reported on Friday, citing Yulia Skotnikova, a spokesperson for the court.

Soloshenko, who was detained till May 5, faces charges under article 276 of the Criminal Code which covers espionage, according to Skotnikova. She declined to provide any further details as the case had been sealed.

Before his arrest last summer Soloshenko reportedly was a director of Ukraine's defense enterprise Znamya.
