MOSCOW, January 20 (RAPSI) – One of the oldest Russian aviation yards, 12 Aircraft Repair Plant, a part of the Russian Helicopters holding, has filed a bankruptcy motion with the Khabarovsk Region Commercial Court, according to the case records released on Tuesday.

The plant was founded in 1934. It specializes on maintenance and retrofit of Mi-2 (Hoplite), Mi-8/17 (Hip) and Mi-24 (Hind) helicopters and TVZ-117 engines. The plant also re-paints helicopters using polyurethane enamel and develops and applies company logos.

Russian Helicopters is a leading Russian designer and manufacturer of helicopters, which enters Russian state defense industry holding Oboronprom. Russian Technologies Corporation (Rostec) holds a 58.32% stake in Oboronprom.
