MOSCOW, March 20 (RAPSI) – A Moscow bank’s complaint over a negative comment posted online has been adjourned until June 4, RAPSI learned from the Moscow Commercial Court Thursday.

A comment posted on bank-review website banki.ru claimed that a client of the bank’s deposited money into a safety deposit box, which in turn went missing.

The bank sued the website, seeking 1 million rubles (approximately $28,000) over what it claims was false information. Furthermore, the bank wants the court to order the deletion of the comment.

The comment was placed on the website by its user in November 2012. It said that 80,000 rubles (over $2,200) went missing from the safety deposit box when the client of the bank decided to withdraw its contents.

The claim was filed with the court in January 2012. Proceedings have been postponed twice since then on different occasions. The first delay occurred when a motion for a linguistic analysis of the comment was filed by the claimant.
