MOSCOW, October 4 (RAPSI) – A court in Tyumen found a man guilty of stealing 7,7 milion rubles ($240,000) worth of Gazprom shares, regional prosecutor’s office reports on Friday.

According to the prosecutors, in May 2010 a former employee of “FINAM” financial holding, Alexander Drobishev, logged on to the corporate server using his previously designated login and password.

After gaining access to a stock trading account of one of holding’s clients, he posted a sale of 50 thousand Gazprom shares on the stock exchange, and sold them within the day. The estimated damage to the client's account summed up to more than 7,7 million rubles.

In court Drobishev plead guilty and was sentenced to a suspended sentence of 4 years.
