DUBAI, July 4 (RAPSI, Margarita Kislova) - The Prosecutor General's Office of Egypt has issued a writ against the supreme guide of the Muslim Brotherhood, Mohammed Badie, and his deputy, Khairat El-Shater, the MENA news agency reported, thereby disproving earlier reports by the Egyptian media that Badie and El-Shater had been arrested.

The agency claims that both men may also be charged with the murder of protesters.

Other leaders of the movement were arrested last night, including Saad El-Katatni, chairman of the Freedom and Justice Party, a party politically linked with the Muslim Brotherhood, and Rashad al-Bayoumi, deputy spiritual leader of the movement. They have been put into the Tora prison near Cairo.

Leaders of the Islamist movement may be charged with inciting hatred and violence, and intentionally weakening the security system in the country.  It is reported that former president and former leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, Mohamed Morsi, has been placed under house arrest and banned from leaving Egypt.
