MOSCOW, April 4 - RAPSI. The prosecutor's office has asked Head of the Moscow Department of Land Resources Vladimir Yefimov to file a lawsuit to invalidate the illegal privatization of part of Varshavskaya metro station's hall, the Prosecutor General's Office said.

The office's statement reads that the Metro Service+ Company illegally used part of Varshavskaya metro station's hall for the past 10 years. As a result, several businesses used falsified documents to register their ownership of a 300 square meter area.

The prosecutors demand that the matter be taken to court so as to restore this area back to state ownership.

In January 2013, the management of the Moscow metro notified the police about the embezzlement of state property, following which a criminal case of large-scale fraud has already been initiated.
