PERM, February 15 - RAPSI. Anastasia Dolgikh, former chief of the court bailiffs department in the city of Perm, has been charged with abuse of power leading to damages estimated at 3.8 billion rubles (around $126 million).

Ms. Dolgikh has been fired and may be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison if found guilty of the crime.

The local department of the Investigative Committee said in a press release that, according to the investigators, Dolgikh prohibited bailiffs from registering part of the courts' decisions over money collection and from entering them in the database from January to December 2012.

As a result, they are thought to have concealed court orders for a total of over 3.8 billion rubles(around $126 million).

The investigators believe that she was trying to make the department's performance record look more impressive, in the hope of being awarded a bonus.
