ST. PETERSBURG, November 7 - RAPSI. The Moskovsky District Court in St. Petersburg will hear on November 22 several lawsuits filed by local human rights activists against Madonna for compensation for moral harm, Darya Dedova, who represents the plaintiffs, told journalists on Wednesday.

In mid-August, the court agreed to hear the lawsuits against the singer and her St. Petersburg concert organizers. The plaintiffs seek 333 million rubles ($10.7 million) for alleged insults related to her support for the LGBT community. However, the court left the lawsuits motionless at the time due to a number of violations that had been committed during their drafting.

Later, Dedova said, the plaintiffs managed to find the official address of the singer and the other data necessary to allow for the further consideration of the lawsuits by the court.

They then filed the amended lawsuits.

Olga Lototskaya, a PR manager at the concert's organizer Planeta Plyus, told journalists that the defendants hope the court will pass its rulings in the lawsuits on November 22. "We are preparing a response to their claims," Lototskaya said.

She added that only one of the nine plaintiffs actually went to the concert, while the others only saw a video of the event on the Internet.
