MOSCOW, September 5 - RAPSI. The Investigative Committee has searched the Borjomi company's offices in the criminal case against fallen oligarch Boris Berezovsky, committee spokesman Vladimir Markin told RIA Novosti on Wednesday.

"The office has recently been searched in the investigation into the Berezovsky case," he said.

Berezovsky has escaped trial in the UK since 2000. The UK refused to extradite him upon the Prosecutor General's Office request in 2003. He has obtained refugee status in the UK.

In Russia, he has been declared guilty of fraud, theft and laundering AvtoVAZ, LogoVAZ and Aeroflot funds. Two sentences - one for 133 years and the other for six years - have been passed against him in absentia.

Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika said Russia will continue pressing for his extradition.
